Opinion by Hamid Mir: Pakistan didn’t contribute to climate change – but it’s paying the price

. In Baluchistan I saw children dying at the sides of the road because, lacking any alternatives, they’d been forced to drink contaminated water from the floods. The most common question I heard in the disaster areas was “Where is the government?”

Interestingly, all four provinces affected by the flood are ruled by different political parties. Imran Khan’s party, the PTI, runs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s allies control Sindh and Baluchistan. People in the flooded areas were unhappy with all of them. Most of their parliamentary representatives were missing in action.

Amerikada'da sel-fırtına oluyor. Filipinler, maldivler, Güney Amerika, Brezilya, Italya da sel oluyor... Pakistan da olunca mı iklim değişikliği angutların aklına geliyor.

we live on a water planet. it is a system. we are tiny compared the vastness of earth, its oceans, etc. climate changes. it always has. it creates the very things that give life. it makes them possible.

🚨🚨 Reports are, the GOP has drafted a bill that would ban abortion & same-sex marriages in all 50 states, if the win in November. They will most certainly spread their racism, divisiveness, violence & anti-americanism also. Racist cops & Trump crazies will run wild.VoteBlue

Much like the American middle class

Lol yea the people who use leaded gasoline and burn tires for heat didn't contribute to climate change. 😂 the mental gymnastics this logic takes is mind blowing.

35 million in1948,now 200+ and you burn coal like crazy, deforestation spending money on nuclear weapons instead of infrastructure could also be factors

You don't think billions of gallons of partially treated human & toxic waste pumped into the sea doesn't contribute to climate change?

Opinion: Climate changes. “Climate change” is a hoax.
