Volkswagen shares concept versions of the ID.4 and ID.5 electric SUVs designed for off-road and street driving.

At the other end of the spectrum is the ID.5 GTX Xcite. This concept was designed and built by a team of VW technician apprentices in Germany. It's very much designed for the street with fully custom 22-inch wheels under wider fenders and separated by wider side skirts. The paint scheme features colors from both Volkswagen and corporate sibling.

The interior is a highlight with almost every surface wrapped in Alcantara or faux leather. A comprehensive stereo upgrade has been done with 10 amplifiers, a subwoofer and a total output of 2,000 watts. Power is unchanged from the ID.5 GTX at 295 horsepower from its dual motors and 82-kWh battery. But if that's not quite enough, there's an electric skateboard in the back.
