Heat waves, drought, massive storms. The bad news just keeps coming and there's no denying these issues are anxiety-provoking. If you feel that way, you're not alone.

We are bruised and vulnerable, struggling to right ourselves after a tumultuous two and a half years. Heat itself is associated with mental illness. "There is a direct link, and mental health and psychosocial well-being will decline as climate change pressures increase," said Kerry Wangen, a psychiatrist in private practice in Southern California.. Lately I find myself agreeing with Newsroom Toby. We could have done something twenty years ago, but we just didn’t feel like it. Now it’s too late because a third of us still don’t believe it’s happening. Just embrace the dystopian future.

Or we could talk about no significant hurricanes this season past the halfway point and actually tell the truth to those panicked for no substantive reason…

Saying fearporn is real but not to worry is still fearporn.

I accept the science around climate change, but I stopped taking you lot seriously when EVERY segment had to be about stoking grievances against the majority, and EVERY host had to be a member of a 'marginalized group'. You can no longer see when your pendulum has swung too far.

Wait, before doing so just watch some clips of real doom n havoc floods brought courtesy of environmental disasters in Pakistan poignant part, its not their doing.

Dont have kids, dont pay rent and buy stupid shit!

Maybe going in & out of the ozone layer is really bad

The daily remind i had is, what a nice day and screw anyone who thinks differently. Im jet skiiimg tomorrow in the 80's, life is amazing when you ignore the narrative

November is coming. Time to change the dsheets in congress.

Stressed? Just remember it’s all fairy tales. Over 90% of what NPR publishes is simply incorrect. And the remaining 10% is speculation based on scenarios that are impossible.

LOL . . . Stop listening to for a moment? . . . Or you can try Evolving with the Change . . .

Narrator: They told you in 1986 that Florida would be under water by now. It isn’t. Breathe easy, friends.

Just do your small parts: turn off the light when leaving the room, don't leave the water running, recycle, plant trees.. But, you also have to understand that in the end, we don't really have much power over nature or get to decide who are going to exist. Just ask the dinosaurs!

Doom and gloom is the method of choice for political persuasion.

Turn off NPR.

Blah, blah,blah, blah, blah.

So says , which specializes in climate hysteria.

Lol. Not stressed at all. Weak minds that are.

It’s all just a hoax …been going on at least 40 years…just a hoax

The only people stressing are the people writing the fake headlines about the weather.

One step ahead of you

Go build something. Plant a garden. Work hard. Read books. Exercise. Volunteer in your community. Learn new skills.

The best strategy for dealing with climate change stress is to stop listening to NPR

Conserve energy and preserve time by buying bitcoin

The naive and gullible doomer zombie apocalypse generation.

More suggestions:

Stop worrying about it. The people who keep preaching this doom and gloom certainly don’t worry about it.

Well, that’s because it’s propaganda and lies. You told them to stop using plastic drinking straws but to buy an electric car and now the power is being rationed. Just, stop lying.

How pathetic.

I'm 50 with no kids, don't give a shit

Stop failing for the panic porn from the news media is step one.

NPR: 'Here are a few ideas to stave off the feeling of doom that we've helped engender.'

I’m actually good with the doomed feeling. Really.

I worry about paying for groceries and gasoline

Step 1...stop following NPR.

Treat yourself to a burger or a steak!

California, with all their money and resources, is living in the past and complaining about climate change instead of accepting climate has changed. No innovation, no added resources to combat wild fires. California’s government operating likes its 1990.

I have an idea to stave off the feeling of doom…quit listening to climate hysteria

Aren't you the ones perpetuating the daily barrage?

Go for a relaxing drive!

Take a trip!

If you can’t change it, it’s not worth worrying about it. Do what you can to stop climate change.

Only affluent childless laptop warriors with meaningless lives are bruised and hopeless. Oh wait, this is exactly NPRs target audience.

This is Ultra Maga Climate!!!!

Just stop listening to these crazed alarmists.

Amazing how really crazy you miserable people are….

Plenty of gullible boomers and parentless millennials who yearn for more government to control their lives. Covid was the perfect excuse, but since it's losing its impact, it's back to climate change.

Climate change blamed for Obesity...

Weird that droughts exposed sculptures and Stonehenge carved thousands of years ago. Was climate change a thing back then? Because how were they able to do that if they were supposedly always under water?

Eat bugs, buy an electric car, trust the pigs and send them your money they can fix it.

yea there's some room for adjustments

Either prepare for it or move along and beg for change

how long until the deniers switch to blaming?

Step 1: deny it and spend your time and money doubling down on making it worse. While hypocritically saying your kids are important to you as you lay waste to their future. Working splendidly for the vast majority of americans!

Sometime I think about what npr was like pre trump, and get really bummed. Even more bummed now knowing it’s funded in part by my tax dollars. I make just enough to not qualify for student loan relief, food stamps etc..You guys cause mental health problems. For normal people.

IT doesnt help when your government spend billions on a war.. were not actually in.. that kind of shit causes Citizen PTSD

It doesnt help when your government sanctions silicon removing 50% of the supply from the world THEN decides its time to spend money on upgrading all of our shit that will need that over priced commodity. And only Germany and Japan will benefit. That shit? causes Citizen PTSD

The climate is perfectly fine as always, there's way better things to be paranoid about.

The only feeling of doom comes in the form of my electric bill which is due to insane eco-terrorist liberals.

'Despite climate change, this is by far the safest and best time to live.' First, that is a lie. Secondly, climate change is a huge threat to future generations, and by saying 'hey, it's fine, we are good for now' is exactly the opposite attitude of what we should have.

How about a person use their critical thinking skills and figure out it is nonsense.

Stop listening to every morning?

Time to educate yourself:

'4) Keep things in perspective' 🏆

Of all the things I'm stressed out about, climate doesn't even make the top 100.

Stop following liberal media will help

Is that why doesn’t support climate measures? So you can make more money explaining how we might survive this plague. Get stuffed.

1) Doom is inevitable. Earth is but a speck upon a speck upon a speck. In the great scheme of things, nothing matters. No matter what happens, ultimately no one will be left to remember. 2) Have a cookie.

Here’s the best idea: Organize with all your might against Republicans.

Plant a evergreen to help birds. It’s nice for many bird brained reasons.

In America we are reading about people’s anxiety over climate change while in Pakistan, which this yr accounted for only 1% of global emissions, 33 million people impacted by the floods. Perhaps we would have less anxiety if we weren’t one of the top polluters of Mother Earth.

Oh you think THESE reminders are bad…

Hyperion super car’s engine, iterorg Wendelstein7

National propaganda radio

Hoax

Fake news source, paid for with tax dollars. No more NPR!!

There’s nothing that can be done, we already past the doomsday date and now the govt is just trying to keep us from rioting!

Wildfires actually happen

Read other scientists and environmentalists and you will feel much much better.

ha_nah_nah We must always be thinking about how we can do our part for a better future!
