Met Eireann have issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning nationwide that will remain in place across the weekend.Saturday will start of wet and cloudy and it's set to remain pretty miserable throughout the day. The south and west will have sunny spells, however scattered heavy showers will pass through at times, some of these potentially with thunder.The weather will worsen throughout the evening and it could turn quite windy too.
Clear spells and scattered showers at first, but rain accompanied by strengthening winds will sweep northwards over the country. The rain will turn heavy bringing a possibility of localised flooding. There is the potential for strong winds for a short period.However, heavy rain will return during the evening and the winds will strengthen again. Rain will clear northwards overnight with clear spells and scattered showers following.
Just as you're packing up and leaving the festival on Monday morning, things will be clearer with a few scattered showers. However, unsettled conditions will remain as persistent rain will extend from the south later in the day.Read more:
