Intuitive touchscreen user interface. Loads of customizable driving modes. Comfortable, quality interior. Strong off-road performance. Clever exterior storage cubbies.One-pedal drive can't be turned off. Options quickly pump the already high price higher. Heavy, even for a truck.I pulled into Death Valley, California, to test the Rivian R1T, a sandstorm rolled through. Not quite biblical, more.
The R1T starts at $67,500, and the R1S starts at $72,000, and the options add up fast. The loaner R1T that I drove came out at a cool $90,000, but in truth the $22,500 worth of options were just gravy on an already stellar truck. You could buy the base-level model without any options or upgrades at all, and you'd still get all the best parts of the R1T.
I never sleep well in cars, but with the driver’s seat leaned all the way back and the charging station pulsing slowly as it fed the Rivian’s batteries, I nodded off in no time. Automakers have gotten awfully good at creating synthetic leather that can be mistaken for the real thing. The R1T’s faux-leather seats could’ve fooled anyone, and even after several 12-hour days driving the Rivian, I never once felt a pang of discomfort.
Is it because it is promoted in Battlefield 2042?
I'd just like a Jetta-sized station wagon please.
It's small and it's headlights when in look like a unibrow
Meanwhile Cybertruck, aimed at broke af basement dwellers who will never be able to afford it, fails to materialize. It will be the Segway of pick ups.
But I can't afford one.

Tell me you don't know anything about actual off-road vehicles without telling me you don't know anything about actual off-road vehicles 🤦♂️

It may be electric, but its still a planet-killer. Who actually needs this hulking beast to get around?
