Met Éireann's latest five day forecast for the week ahead is terrible reading for anyone planning to head along to Electric Picnic next weekend.
It's good news for the majority of the week ahead, with high pressure dominating - but there is a brutal twist incoming on Friday morning for anyone heading to Stradbally. We'll get to that shortly, but Monday will kick off the week with a balmy high of 23C, as Met Éireann note that the day will be "warm and mainly dry with bright or sunny spells. Some showers developing this afternoon and evening, mainly over the midlands, Connacht and Ulster, a few possibly heavy."
Met Eireann continue "Wednesday and Thursday will all be mainly dry with sunny spells and just a few showers at times. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22C with mainly light to moderate easterly breezes. Lowest night time temperatures will range from about 9 to 12C."
