LNG is here to stay as an important energy source for longer than many unrealistic politicians would like to admit.

For over a century we have been using fossil fuels to grow and prosper; that will not change overnight. LNG will have a decades-long run ahead as a reliable, transition fuel. This is an opportunity Canada cannot miss. We must develop, in conjunction with indigenous communities, more pipelines, more gas wells and more LNG export terminals so that our precious resources find equitable prices in the growing world market.

Adam Pankratz is a lecturer at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business and is on the board of directors of Rokmaster Resources.

Except it’s a temporary stop gap. Germany won’t need natural gas in a couple years. Snore

Misleading.

Do you mean the amount of methane that natural gas wells emit? Is this the elephant in the room you're talking about?

You mean the fracking that causes earthquakes? Also, the water that used for fracking natural gas is toxic and can never be repurposed and then all those natural gas wells eventually fracture leaching into groundwater. That elephant in the room?

When Germans are freezing to death, Scholz will sing a different tune

If Scholz doesn’t want our natural gas you can’t force him to take it.

rexglacer So basically a wasted trip for Germany then and an expense tab for the taxpayers again for both countries

Carbon net zero tool is designed to takeaway everything this society flourishes upon as petroleum is the backbone of this age economy, used in more than 6000 products that we use daily including internet infrastructure. Watch and know the facts. 👇

Skippy Polievre is making gas as you speak.

I suspect that Trudeau is ignoring Cdn LNG more that Scholz. IDK what it would take to end JT's war on the Cdn O&G industry other than being voted out.

Fine. Guess they'll freeze then....

Kind of pathetic that they discussed a hydrogen solution that doesn’t even exist, while LNG exports and the obvious, critical gas shortages weren’t even on the agenda. Of course it didn’t help that Canada doesn’t have any operational LNG terminals, despite plentiful reserves.

JustinTrudeau is attacking Canadian EnergySecurity and now will not support Germany who is under energyAttack from Putin. TrudeauNationalDisgrace

Canada is building two pipelines to the coast and two LNG plants.
