According to the company’s statement, the initial equipment order includes battery electric underground drills, trucks, and loaders that will be used for the mine’s development and production activities. COO Dave Bernier stated, "This is a very exciting period for Foran as we continue to execute on our initiatives to permit, construct, and operate McIlvenna Bay. Sandvik is a global leader in industrial battery technology and we look forward to working together on our project.

Foran Mining is a copper-zinc-gold-silver exploration and development company. The company’s McIlvenna Bay project is located entirely within the documented traditional territory of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. The Company also owns the Bigstone project, a resource-development stage deposit located 25km southwest of its McIlvenna Bay project.
