Washington Gov. Jay Inslee said Thursday that the U.S. Supreme Court “took a wrecking ball” to the ability of the federal government to limit pollution and said that states must redouble their efforts to address climate change.

With a 6-3 vote, the court said that the Clean Air Act does not give the Environmental Protection Agency broad authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants that contribute to global warming.

“This is a health danger that we are now exposed to, and all Americans are exposed to,” Inslee said at a news conference Friday.“It is up to Congress to authorize new regulations that the EPA has been implementing on its own, especially regulations that carry billions of dollars in economic ramifications,” he said in a written statement. “Executive-branch officials don’t get to do this themselves.

Inslee said that ruling wouldn’t affect Washington’s efforts to transition off of coal, with the state’s only coal plant still on track to close by 2025. But he said that states will still be impacted by the ruling.

Well they go by the constitution and the law of the land not totalitarianism

Awww poor Kim Jong inslee.

Jay you are never going to be bidens climate czar , so retire already , I’m sure you are RICH enough by now.

This is the guy that flies around the world to make political speeches. If we made politicians walk climate change would be solved

'redouble our efforts' means he wants to spend more tax dollars on his green energy schemes.

Well he definitely knows about a wrecking ball…

Kayfabe!

Prez wanna be 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Thank you Governor! Climate change is not being taken serious enough, but the evidence is right in front of us!

This dictator is going to bend this state over

Oh boi. Is it time to move yet?

Jay Inslee is the worst Governor in the United States and it’s not even close….

To bad the are paving the way to dismantle all your bullshit

Sit down sir you lost credibility years ago

Climate change is a cyclic scam used by politicians to steal wealth and gain power over citizens. While the climate zealots like Inslee try to relate every issue to their scam, pollution in the US is already tightly controlled locally and is way less that other countries.

The only thing the SCOTUS did was tell the EPA that they were exceeding their statement of work. Imagine the pesky SCOTUS telling Congress to get to work.

Oh look he's blaming others on climate change. Yet he still uses gas for his rides and state plane.

The only wreck is in his head. Age and term limits would help.

Yea, the SCOTUS told Congress you have the power to make climate laws not the unelected people in the EPA. Jay wants bureaucracies in DC that are controlled by Biden to dictate rules and laws. He wants to bypass our democracy of making laws via the people's representatives in DC.

We have a runaway Christian nationalist Supreme Court attacking the rights of citizens and intent on destroying American democracy RunawaySCOTUS

Congress has the ball. Why does that upset him? Oh that’s right he likes authoritarian practices.
