Environment and Climate Change Canada says three tornadoes touched down in Saskatchewan Wednesday night.

Flashbacks to a bad hail storm last year made him quickly start getting equipment under cover should they get hit with another one. That’s when he saw the funnel cloud come down.

He got into the house through the garage and stood at the stairs to the basement and watched “all hell break loose.” Another was reported near Cymric at 5:25 p.m., with the farmer who recorded it reporting some damage. Then, at around 6 p.m.,there appeared to be twin tornadoes near Serath, approximately 86 kilometres north of Regina.

As of Wednesday night, damage had been reported in the Foam Lake area, including downed power lines and trees causing the nearby highway and rail lines to be briefly blocked. Lang said the area appears to have been the hardest hit.
