The costs for electric generation will increase on June 1. Increases run the gamut from 8.1% to 44.6%., up from 7.3995 cents to 9.3667 cents per kWh ;, up from 6.832 cents to 7.936 cents per kWh ;, up from 6.232 cents to 8.443 cents per kWh ;, up from 8.941 cents to 12.366 cents per kWh ;, up from 7.7569 cents to 9.592 cents per kWh ; andNote: Energy price changes for Pike County Light & Power are still being calculated.
“Utilities understand the assistance programs available in their communities for income-qualified consumers – including utility-run Customer Assistance Programs, national programs like the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program and the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, and various hardship fund programs operated by utilities and nonprofit organizations,” the PUC said in a news release.
