America has created an elitist and tribal culture on abortion, climate change and immigration. The irony is that overturning Roe v. Wade will impact the poorest women and women of color. quantanamo reports:

New research from Harvard University economists looks at political polarization in response to wealthy Americans prioritizing moral issues, even if these moral issues are split along party lines. The paper was released on Monday, hours before Politico reported that the U.S. Supreme Court appears set to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.

“‘Forty years ago, if I told you that this person supports abortion, you wouldn’t be able to tell how they felt about taxes, healthcare and immigration.’” For their part, the Harvard researchers aggregated studies to create indicators of economic and social conservatism, and classify issues as economic or moral. They asked multiple-choice questions on a range of issues, including abortion: “ By law, abortion should never be permitted. The law should permit abortion only in case of rape, incest, or when the woman’s life is in danger.

Putting those deeply emotional issues aside, a society’s moral values and beliefs also play a critical role in how that economy develops, and who is prioritized under that government’s policies, economists say.

Simone Polillo, a professor of sociology at the University of Virginia who teaches a course in money and morality, wrote about the contradictions and misconceptions about how money affects morality, and how money itself is a democratic tool , given that governments issue money and political communities can decide how it is spent and, indeed, if it should be spent.

Quantanamo The decision will throw the abortion issue back to the states and the people where it belongs. The elites will be removed from dictating morality and ethics to the rank and file. Instead of the elites, the people-both rich and poor-will decide for themselves as to what is right.

Quantanamo The Margaret Sanger supporters are highly upset I’m sure.

Quantanamo I think not, they will just go to a Blue state to murder the Child.

Quantanamo That's racist, you want dead black babies

Quantanamo Woke trash. Leave it to the States where it belongs.

Quantanamo Claiming that “Moral Values are a Luxury Good” is probably one of the most elitest and disparaging opinions one can have about those who are poor. Absolute garbage take.

Quantanamo Roe V Wade should’ve never been green lit in the first place. I’m looking forward to this travesty being dismantled!

Quantanamo Elites are just a minority.

Quantanamo Overturning Roe will protect poor children and children of color from being murdered by psychopaths.
