Both motorists and households can expect a sigh of relief as retail prices of fuel products, including liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), are expected to go down in the coming week, a top official of the Department of Energy (DOE) said Friday.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, DOE-Oil Industry Management Bureau Director Rino Abad said, “Ang indikasyon po ngayon magkakaroon tayo ng rollback next week so liquid petroleum products. ‘Yan po ay gasoline, diesel, kerosene.”

He explained that the Russia-Ukraine war no longer has a significant impact on global oil price since it has already been factored in previous series of adjustments. “Mukang humihina ang anticipation na magkakaroon ng aggressive demand in the coming two to three weeks,” Abad said.
