As the cost of living in the UK continues to rise, people up and down the country are doing all they can to help save on costs.
With summer on the horizon, and with warmer days to come, making the most of the hotter weather and drying clothes outside could save around £40. Speaking of the easy swap, Joanna Flowers, an engineer at British Gas said: “You can save on average £40 a year on your electricity bill by line drying clothes instead of using a tumble dryer during the summer.”“There are several things you can do to be more energy efficient with the washing machine,” she continued.By doing so, the electricity company estimates that opting for 30° washing cycles rather than higher temperatures could save £28 per year.
The news comes after Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis was praised by shoppers for revealing his £35 Aldi hack.
