Today, RamTrucks released a teaser video on Twitter of its upcoming electric pickup truck — one day before Ford Motor Company officially launches its all-electric F-150 Lightning. — via drivingdotca autonews autoindustry FordF150 EV ...

a Lightning, as its executives and representatives from the UAW host customers and employees at its Rouge Complex factory in Dearborn, Michigan, to mark the battery-powered truck’s start of production. The truck will be built in the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, a new facility created inside the complex for Lightning production.

Ram’s tweet says the truck is “Unleashing Fall 2022,” but it isn’t expected to go into production until 2024. These two have been one-upping each other with ever-increasing diesel torque numbers for a while now, so of course we’re expecting them to do the same with who has the most range, the brawniest electric motors, and the most no-tailpipe-emissions towing capacity.
