Protesters from a climate change group have caused traffic mayhem for a second consecutive day after they blocked a major thoroughfare one day earlier calling for the government to purchase an aerial tanker to tackle bushfires.

Five members from Fireproof Australia sat and laid down across the bitumen on Catherine Street, along the City West Link at Lilyfield on Wednesday morning, blocking citybound lanes about 8:25am.Stream more Australian news with Flash. 25+ news channels in 1 place. I like the idea that these protesters have somehow caused mayhem in the busiest city in Sydney, renowned for crappy traffic, which not too long along was suffering huge disruption from climate-induced floods.

Morrison gov’s deliberately negligent mismanagement inaction incompetence and failures regarding the bushfires is continuing… WE NEED THOSE AERIAL WATER TANKERS THE LYING RORTING CORRUPT MORRISON GOV PROMISED 2 YEARS AGO…BUT LIKE EVERYTHING HAVE FAILED TO DELIVER

Instant gratification required from the TLDR generation. You’ll need a Bond villain to change the climate…

Spoilt little brats… I want I want

Run them over

What until you see what climate change does for traffic

Good on them! What are you lot going to do about it? Throw lumps of coal them?

Do they not understand that this actually loses them support

No one has the right to stop people or stymie them from going about their normal business. Irrespective of the issue.

Sir,we are also skill worker and bvb expired to stuck overseas please clear the old backlog of application or extend our expired visa because we all are mentally sick because having a long time now so please support to extend visa. Expiredbvblivatter

I said the same during the anti- mandate protests, sometimes a 1000 plus protesters causing all this drama it was comical. This group was only a handful FFS, keep them in jail and of the streets.

Climate change has caused a catastrophe i Lismore

You do wonder if it's organised protesters from the anti climate change camp ,so close to an election, just to sabotage the pro environment parties.

Yes but what about the prayer room incident!

Less disruption then the Anti-vaxxers caused and Politians were involved in that eg. Pauline Hanson, Craig Kelly. 👍

I have no issues with people peacefully protesting in our democracy. However, pissing off the public like this is unlikely to do convince people to support your cause.
