Great! Canada really does need more manufacturing Windsor electric vehicle battery plant signals Canadians are a 'player' in future auto industry (the Feds and Ontario both invested in this project)

One has to ask how much will it be to replace electric car batteries. Old electric cars also will likely have poor resale value. Next is how often are you stopping to get from point A to point B for recharging. Convenience becomes questionable.

The world is reporting a shortage of lithium! Mostly impart due to the high cost and environmental impact of mining it plus the huge costs and delays in shipping it around the world. Too bad oil isn’t readily available in Canada.

Still hoping the brightest minds are finding ways to develop more carbon neutral batteries

For all those against this.. what is the solution? Nuclear powered vehicles? Seriously though, I’d like to know more.

Look at all the petroleum products used to make it....and the power to charge it...and the......

Making batteries for endless money pits known as unreliable Chryslers and Dodges. And LG batteries that have a habit of bursting into flames. Great investment of Ontarians' tax dollars, Dougie.

Didn't JustinTrudeau sell Canada's lithium mines to China with no oversight? I think he did. So that means no money for Canadians but lots of money for dictatorship china

Nickel’s price surge could threaten electric-vehicle plans Essential for batteries; Russia is a key supplier Will have to rethink EV plans if nickel supplies are constrained. (Canada is also a nickel supplier) Stop using nickel for car wheels?

Each level of government provided massive incentives But, unclear how much funding the federal and provincial governments kicked in.

Weren't LG Energy Solutions the battery supplier responsible for literally burning GM's EV business by writing off every Bolt ever made?

Syncretiphile BUT, is Ford going to bring back the Electric Vehicle Incentive (rebate) that he cancelled? It's nice to make parts for such cars, but would be even nicer to be able to afford to buy one in Ontario.

That money could have given Canadians affordable rentals and housing! SO SAD TO SEE OUR DEMOCRACY NOW GONE!

Waste. We should be drilling for more oil, and refining here in canada to make our own gas. We should be energy dependant

PCs still trying to greenwash I see. Won’t work - we remember.
