Boris Johnson has ordered ministers to pursue the expansion of Britain’s nuclear energy sector at ‘warp speed’ to reduce dependence on oil and gas imports

PM targets rise in share of nuclear-produced electricity from 15 to 25 per cent. It will mean development of equivalent of eight major nuclear power stations. Industry leaders asked for ideas to 'accelerate rapid progress' to boost capacity.
