Australia is expected to retain its title as the world’s biggest exporter of liquified natural gas, with cargoes hitting a record high last year amid a global energy crunch.

Australia is expected to reclaim its title as the world’s biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas after shipments hit a record high last year amid a huge rally in global energy demand and prices.

Last year, Australia’s LNG revenue is estimated to have risen to $48 billion from $36 billion in 2020, he said. However, Australia is less likely to rank as the top exporter next year amid major LNG industry expansion plans being pursued by Qatar and the United States. “Reaching new levels would require new sources of gas to turn around the decline in the North West Shelf, Australia’s largest LNG project,” Dr Bethune said.

A true natural disaster as much of it is fracked.. destroying our ground water .. and much of this is from aboriginal titled lands and under farming properties!! Why is this government allowing this .. ask them to explain and vote them out .
