On average, Jeff says an owner of a single camper van can make about $50,000 per season by renting it on Outdoorsy’s platform. Some owners are purchasing entire fleets of RVs to rent them out on the platform, and profiting handsomely. Garr Russell, who owns The Camper Connection, a property management company for RVs, started with seven trailers in 2016, and has since expanded to more than 125 units, resulting in more than $4 million in rental income in the last five years.
