Rick Perry on Sunday attacked the Biden administration's energy policies, linking them to inflation.

Donald Trump's former energy secretary on Sunday attacked the Biden administration's energy policies, linking them to inflation and claiming that restrictions on the U.S. oil industry and rising costs at home could lead to "disaster."

The United States never stopped importing oil during the Trump administration, though domestic production rose. On a monthly basis, U.S. production edged higher than consumption during most of 2019 and 2020,But the most recent EIA data shows that pattern continuing after Biden became president in 2021, including U.S. exports of energy continuing to exceed imports.

The industry never recovered from the 2020 crash in demand. Nothing is stopping the industry from investing more capital into new wells. Right now, they are making a nice return and their is a risk of lower prices that could imperil new investment in production.

We don’t invest in our infrastructure we will have economic set backs in the future. Do your homework it is way beyond roads; such as that upgrade on power grid ( hello Texas for some freezing temps), broadband.. yeah our speed is way slow and rapid rails etc

Being a member of the Nazi Party automatically disqualifies him!

Wow! You think!

Like Rick Perry, the Texas fairy, has even the slightest clue about energy except that the worst polluters were good for big $ to help them avoid the law

QE to save the banks but not the planet, who chooses

Gun laws should be less strict. 🙋‍♂️

Oh, the dude that cam from an Energy company. Sure….Sure….Uh….Huh…

Blah, blah

Who cares?!

Not “could”. We are in the energy disaster right now. The living cost will keep rising and stock market will break down once more.

check my link why things are costly

energy crises arises

That's not news at all?!

This guy?

U guys are seriously quoting rick Perry?

Disaster for who?

RickPerry was a joke Secretary of DOE, ErnestMoniz and StephenChu were rock stars. Look it up,

When someone gives credit to Trump for energy independence - you need to point out that the process took 10 years and started under Bush II. When they say pipelines - you need to ask how a pipeline that wouldn't be completed for 10 years would help today.

When Perry was confirmed as energy secretary, he said he had no idea that the Dept of energy had responsibility over our nuclear weapons stockpile as well as the nuclear infrastructure of the nation. Safe to say this disqualifies him from any serious commentary on policy

GovernorPerry, the guy that didn't understand the role of the Dept of Energy?

They will lead to a disastrous situation for prices this year

I don’t think they care.

Lol. Of course he did.

Did you learn about weasel words in J school?

Expensive oil is good for US producers…so when did Rick Perry turn against American companies?

Could lead? It already has

Shocker. How unqualified was the former sec?

Sorry, but not listening to any former ex President advisor!

Yea bullshit we dont need more leases, we need to stop these companies from shipping our energy overseas. Plenty of energy already available in circulation, they are just trying to squeeze Americans to get their way with the administration. Go take a hike pal...

Shutting down pipelines and prohibiting drilling on federal lands… that should turn out just fine…

DRUMP EW 🕵️🕵️‍♂️

pretty sure disaster is the goal.

Unlikely to Utopian, but we do need a bubble burst for the sake of the novice in the market place

Speaking of 'disaster' - what has TFG been up to lately?

It is leading to a disaster

LOLOLOL

This guy?

not 'could', but 'it is' 😁

Rick Perry? Another former guy who didn't get the message. It's truly amazing how many 'former' people exist who still believe they are some how relevant. It's an odd disease.

aka, our rich donors might not make money and we may not make money from Biden’s policies.

Rick Perry. 🤣🤣

claims? is CNBC 🙈🙉🙊 ?

Hundreds of thousands of Americans died during the last year of the Trump Presidency.

It’s already a disaster

Does anyone really care what Rick Perry has to say about anything?
