EXCLUSIVE: Energy bill cap may be reset 4 times a year as Ofgem proposals could lead to more hikes

A price cap on soaring energy bills could be reviewed every three months - potentially heralding more hikes.The last time, at the start of October, saw households landed with inflation-shattering price rises to allow suppliers to claw back rocketing wholesale costs.Energy regulator Ofgem, which sets the cap, today published a letter to suppliers which laid out possible changes to the way the price cap is calculated.
