Some brand the crisis a hoax by scientists to justify their research grants - or even a conspiracy by governments to control people. If so, it would have to be one of extraordinary complexity, coordinated by successive governments in scores of countries with vast numbers of scientists.

Could "a little global warming" be nice? Parts of Siberia could become arable, expanding food resources - but the melting of permafrost in the same region threatens to create more problems.

No one doubts that adding CO2 to the atmosphere by the burning of fossil fuels causes warming but is the warming catastrophic, will spending billions of euros on climate change measures make any difference, how much of a difference ? These are all unknowns.

Good job RTE wasn't around at the end of the last ice age or the medieval warm period.
This makes me wonder what natural factors these people name as the driving factor for the warming planet. Or are they denying the current warming trend alltogether?
What about an investigation on the dark money that funds the pseudoscience behind climate change denial? Think Exxon, BP, Shell, Koch Industries etc. That would be informative and very much in the public interest. 👍🏻
