By 2027, electric cars will become, on average, less expensive than equivalent gasoline and diesel models. FMTNews

The price of electric vehicles, one of the main obstacles when it comes to consumers making the switch, should fall in the coming years.

According to a report by Bloomberg New Energy Finance for the NGO Transport and Environment , within five to seven years the trends in prices should shift depending on the type of vehicle. This spectacular drop in prices can be explained above all by a continuous drop in the production costs of lithium-ion batteries, but also by the establishment of production lines specially dedicated to electric vehicles and increasingly large production volumes.
