Welcome to the marketplace, or should I say Econ 101. Natural Gas is efficient, and in some cases wind and solar energy are market place competitive. This is all good and nothing is stopping clean coal technology from getting even better and competing with all energy sources.

It's happened in Texas (via ERCOT) a few times when more power was generated from wind than coal or natural gas. Then, in 2019, wind power exceeded coal power for the full year.

While wind and solar are great, the production of their capacity includes mining reliant on mining. Alsoe the energy returned on energy invested is much lower than say oil or coal. Believing we can totally power our economy with todays green technology is technonarcissism.
