To my Liberal colleagues seeking Malcolm Turnbull's expulsion: you do not own our party

The Liberal Party is a broad church, the home of liberal and conservative traditions. Both of these traditions have huge amounts to offer Australia in making it a stronger, fairer nation.

Malcolm Turnbull is absolutely entitled to write an account of his time in office. He is one of only four living Liberals to have served as the country’s prime minister. In that spirit, here’s my take. Malcolm Turnbull was a great Liberal prime minister. He delivered same-sex marriage, the greatest social reform of our generation. He left our country safer and more secure. Future generations will be forever grateful for his leadership in creating Snowy Hydro 2.0, a visionary scheme that will help secure affordable, renewable and reliable power for decades to come.

And on the major issues of our time, like climate change, he was on the same page as conservative heroes such as Boris Johnson, Angela Merkel, David Cameron and John Key.The policies he championed on national security, education, the economy and energy were in the best traditions of the Liberal Party.

It’s a crying shame Malcolm Turnbull is not our PM

It was the same dagger for Malcolm as it was for Tony !
