Earth Day is a global demonstration of support for environmental protection, which this year is taking place through online events

The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has urged governments to use their economic responses to the coronavirus pandemic to tackle the "even deeper emergency" of climate change, in a message for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

So far, massive economic stimulus packages launched by the United States, China and European governments have focused mainly on staunching the damage to existing industries and staving off the threat of a global depression. Mr Guterres has called for the huge amounts of money that will be spent on recovery to deliver new jobs and businesses through a clean, green transition.

With the dramatic fall in CO2 emissions...Global CO2 is still up to 416 ppm.......

Nothing like a killer virus to push the climate change agenda.

2019 saw more ice melt in greenland than any other year in recorded history. Because it was not the warmest year they had to investigate and admitted it was purely natural due to high pressure systems causing less snow.

There can be no gap between the meeting with the exigencies of the virus & taking urgent steps to deal with the global life threat of climate crisis.

Now is the time to reset our climate path.

Idiots should be locked in Jail call earth year ! ... wake up !
