Exclusive: New Resources Minister calls for more coal, gas and uranium exports auspol | CroweDM

Australia will need more coal, gas and uranium exports to pay for essential services and lift living standards, incoming Resources Minister Keith Pitt has declared in a warning shot to activists trying to block new projects.

He added that farm land and water resources had to be protected and that local communities gained real benefits and jobs from the gas developments.on January 31 with the condition the state find 70 petajoules of gas to supply the state market, an amount equivalent to the Narrabri project.Santos chief Kevin Gallagher said the project would bring down prices so households would pay less.

Mr Pitt insisted Deputy Prime Minister and Nationals leader Michael McCormack was "absolutely" safe after the failed leadership challenge from former leader Barnaby Joyce last week."I think people will just get their heads down and their bums up now. There are far more important things happening around the country, whether it's bushfires or floods or the coronavirus," he said.

CroweDM Wonderful, far sighted Country Party 1952 policy, Black Jack would be proud of you lad. How about using the U2 to generate cheap clean power? No, too radical, just dig it up and flog it.

CroweDM About time common sense

CroweDM A fire sale.

CroweDM criminal should be jailed with all LiberalAus The_Nationals

CroweDM Evoking old Lancashire and Chernobyl in the process. What a sad, unimaginative bunch they are.

CroweDM Dig another hole in the ground. Not the brightest light in the room is he?

CroweDM That’s a big, fat, no from me. Why go back to dark ages energy?

CroweDM Another servile follower of the coal industry who hasn’t woken up yet.

CroweDM If we're not selling it, someone else is

CroweDM So what happens in 50 years whwn we've dug everything up?

CroweDM Depressing that yet another LNP minister accepts the science while ramping up carbonemissions. What is really weird, Narrabri gas is going to be cheaper given the price of gas is set overseas. The whole lot sounds BS.

CroweDM minister for resources or lobbyist for the fossil fuel industry is there a difference...LNP...who are you...

CroweDM Yep, we need more coal, gas & uranium exports so we the consumer can get a $100 a Year credit...how many focus groups did it take to discover this gem...

CroweDM

CroweDM That’s good it’s a win win win, with all the renewables being put in place it’s good to see us continue to dig holes get things out and ship them off you needs high end manufacturing when you can dig big holes, besides these don’t count towards our emissions do they?

CroweDM

CroweDM yep, that's what Australians do best, dig things up. We have surrendered all manufacturing so we can either dig things up or grow things but never make things. Sold our real worth for a so called good life. Is it really that good?

CroweDM I wonder if they know they're the villains.

CroweDM While we do need to generate more revenue and provide more employment, we could reduce thdd Ed pressures if all Govt’s simply stopped wasting so much money. Every day presents new examples and nobody seems to care.

CroweDM Years of policy failure!

CroweDM Minister Moron?

CroweDM Selling out our country for short term financial gains.

CroweDM Of course he does. He was picked by the man who brought a lump of coal into parliament. auspol
