British MPs attack Australia's climate change efforts as bushfires rage | bevanshields

Nearly three dozen MPs participated in the session, in which it was revealed Britain had dispatched a team of experts to Australia - at the Morrison government's request - to help respond to the crisis which has claimed nearly 2000 homes and 25 lives.

"The support being given at the moment is hugely important, but when the fires die down, will the government have talks with Scott Morrison and the government of Australia about the environment and how we can help in future, for the good of not only Australia but the rest of the world?" "When the fires are finally extinguished, it would be remiss of us if we did not discuss the underlying causes of these unprecedented events; 2019 was the second hottest year on record, and the past five years fill the top five positions as the hottest years on record," he said.

BevanShields British should be worrying about what their doing about there own climate change emissions.... Leave Australia alone.

zalisteggall BevanShields Those British PM should stick to fixing Britain. Plus there is no climate change it is an expensive hoax based on a misunderstanding of the effect of CO2 on the temperature. If started on the 1st April it would be the best April Fool's joke. So many fall for it.

BevanShields who the British who have destroyed there own country please the bloody Poms can piss off

BevanShields Maybe pollies wld like to contribute adjusted proportion of income, land clearing 1788-1900,blood/treasure value from 2 WorldWars, and supporting the currency via rationing impacting the 1949 election, dropping us in 1964.shld I go on?Oh, value of mining stocks on in UK exchange

BevanShields The British influence, as always.

zalisteggall BevanShields ScottMorrisonMP get used to the world looking on in disbelief at Australia’s ever rising carbon emissions. The British have reduced their carbon emissions by around 30% since 2005 and despite what ScottMorrisonMP is saying our carbon emissions have risen in the same time frame.

zalisteggall BevanShields Do any of you uninformed brainwashed followers of climate change realise the UK have 14 NUCLEAR REACTORS, off course their climate footprint is low yet the Left refuse to talk about Nuclear power . We export Uranium yet we don't have ONE NUCLEAR POWER STATION ! 😡

BevanShields The British are coming, THE BRITISH are coming British attack on our Muppets. How Great is a whopping by poms It's a sad in hell, extreme heat no bloody water & fires burning everywhere. For Scottish blood to boil & side with British. tizz a really sad day for our country.

zalisteggall BevanShields Now, UK, insist on tough carbon targets in the post-Bexit free trade agreement. The EU will.

zalisteggall BevanShields Drongos

BevanShields Great, advice from from an ethnic group who’s exposure to this country is likely to be Bondi/Codgee

RobWhitehillInd BevanShields Maybe the poms should worry about sorting their backyard with brexit.

RobWhitehillInd BevanShields Don't know who's fukn worse,

BevanShields People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones

BevanShields We look like fools

BevanShields Just as well that Australia is covered by a perspex dome so that their climate is totally their responsibility and not influenced by the practices of the rest of the world.

BevanShields ScottMorrisonMP Investigate BOM climate-integrity+Greens/Labor $billions Taxpayer$ for UN Climate$ scam before assist of The People-Infrastructure-Farmers Water Crisis+Overpopulation due to Climate/illegal immigration activism+Arson in Australia NOW!

BevanShields A lot of land is still owned by UK as are the mines and mining coys BHP and RIO are Anglo/Australian so Brits do have huge investment in Australia and what that looks like.

BevanShields UN desperation to keep up the fraud

BevanShields Britain currently has double Australia's co2 emitions while only having 1.5x the population. On top of that Australia has a semi mining economy that creates loads of co2. The actual question is...wtf is UK pumping? They should at least hit our numbers. They arent even expanding

BevanShields Ping ScottMorrisonMP SackMorrison SackScoMo

zalisteggall BevanShields Wait for the Murdoch backlash- it’s coming auspol AustralianBushfireDisaster

BevanShields Good ! Thanks from Australia At the moment we have vested interests blaming arsonists 🙄 And too many people are pushing this agenda 🤥

BevanShields Yes, it only took them nearly 4 years to get Brexit moving. We have cut the apron strings with the Old Dart. We don't give a stuff what they think.Half of those MPs would like to live here if we let them in. 'Pommy whingers' seems to ring a bell here in OZ.

BevanShields The big difference between us and them is they don’t have people lining up to dig up minerals. Therefore no media manipulation to oppose CC actions. They stopped coal mining years ago I believe. Just hope they can have some influence here. I doubt it.

BevanShields Maybe they should just worry about their own shit tip?

BevanShields Yes and the British MP’s have done a marvellous job of the Brexit referendum and everything that has happened since! not!

BevanShields Let them also see (and comment) on the NSW Government's pathetic effort at meeting the paltry NPWS Hazard Reduction target, let alone the 5% target recommended by the Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission.

BevanShields How come the rest of the world are now experts on Australia? We have been too nice for too long to some of these idiots.

BevanShields Fabulous!

BevanShields

BevanShields Australians believe that globaal warming is BS

BevanShields Ok what could the Australian government done to have stopped these fires?
