EXCLUSIVE: New South Wales Police has referred its investigation into documents allegedly doctored by federal minister Angus Taylor’s office to the AFP. In October, Mr Taylor's office gave a document to the media which claimed the Sydney Council spent more than $15 million on travel, targetting Lord Mayor Clover Moore for climate change hypocrisy.

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said NSW Police sent its brief to the AFP but it remained to be seen whether the AFP would accept the referral. Mr Clennell said he believed the AFP would not find any evidence of criminality. “The wrong thing might have occurred but it won’t amount to a criminal charge,” he said.
