Scott Brown hailed his Ayr side for digging deep into their energy reserves as they catapulted themselves back into the promotion play-off race.
But Brown was left fizzing after a "disgrace" of a tackle which took out Harry McHugh - only for ref David Munro to flash a yellow card after having the best view in the house. "It's amazing what a goal can do for you and we took it on from there. Airdrie were coming here having just won a cup and were in a good place but I thought we ran over the top of them in that second half.
