A WIND energy specialist firm has signed a 10-year exclusive supply agreement with global materials company INEOS Styrolution.
Leading edge erosion is a significant issue for operational onshore and offshore windfarms and the “armour” is a custom-fitted modular shield made of thermoplastic material designed specifically for wind turbine blades. “There is growing recognition from installers, operators, and OEMs of the value of our product – both in ease of application and in durability, with potential to use Armour Edge as part of a proactive maintenance strategy.“The fact that our material contributes to the production of renewable energy adds a new facet to our own commitment to sustainability.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
