Pepsi Electric was launched in the UK in May this year, but it's fair to say people aren't convinced by the drink, as some people have said it smells like 'old saliva'

Fizzy drink enthusiasts take note - there's a new Pepsi flavour that's sparking quite the conversation.

Yet, it's their latest concoction, Pepsi Electric, that's really getting tongues wagging online. Announced in May as a limited-edition release in the UK, the buzz has only grown, with social media users now fervently discussing its merits. In response to a query about its intended flavour profile, several chimed in that it should hint at "citrus". Yet, opinions diverged with one person bluntly stating it "just tastes like Pepsi Max," while another joked: "And smells of old saliva!"

There were also claims from others that the drink was "rubbish and boring" and simply "tasted like lemonade", with one critic even likening it to "washing up liquid".
