Emergency services were called to Deacon Road in Widnes at around 4pm on Friday, April 19. When officers arrived at the scene they found a cyclist had fallen from an electric bike.
The cyclist, a 60-year-old man from Widnes, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Aintree Hospital. Cheshire Police are now appealing to find the driver of a grey Audi Q2 which stopped at the scene of the crash. Sergeant Russ Sime, of the serious and complex collision investigation unit, said the woman left a short time later after their child became upset. He added: “I would like to reassure the woman that she had not done anything wrong, we just need to speak to her to help establish exactly what took place. I would urge the woman, or anyone who thinks they know who she is, to call us on 101 quoting IML 1804116. the same goes for anyone else in relation to the collision.
