An air ambulance reportedly landed at the scene

A teenager was rushed to hospital with head an leg injuries following an incident in Brierfield yesterday afternoon .

Emergency services were scrambled to Clitheroe Road shortly before 3.40pm. There had been reports of a crash between a car and an electric scooter. Roads in the area, close to railway line, were closed off following the incident. Motorists and members of the public were advised to avoid the area.This morning , Lancashire Constabulary has confirmed the rider of the bike - a male aged in his late teens - was taken to hospital. He suffered injuries to his head, and to his leg.A spokesperson for the force said: "Call came at 3.39pm, collision between a car and an electric bike.
