Australians can now earn Virgin Frequent Flyer points on their electricity and gas bills, as the airline joins forces with a major energy company. Virgin Australia on Wednesday unveiled its Velocity Frequent Flyer program has partnered with AGL to enable customers to earn velocity points with their electricity or gas plans, which they can then redeem on flights, household items and holiday packages.
In Western Australia, new and existing customers who make the switch for their gas can earn up to 12,500 over 12 months. Points offers vary for gas only, electricity only and existing customers. Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO Nick Rohrlach said the partnership offered members a new way to find value in their expenses.
