at Behrang Layby Southbound on the North-South Expressway . This location is great for EV owners who wish to get a quick top-up between Tapah and Tanjung Malim. The “mobile” EV charging station offers four DC charge points and is equipped with a battery energy storage system and solar panels., the Southbound location which is just across the highway features two Kempower DC chargers with two CCS2 nozzles each.

This module EV charging station is different from your usual DC charger as it comes with a battery energy storage system to overcome power capacity limitations. The BESS at Behrang has a capacity of 300kWh which acts as a “reserve tank” to power up the DC charger. The BESS takes about 7-8 hours for a full charge and it can be charged via the grid or solar while the chargers are in use., which is about 16km away. This location has a 180kW Kempower DC Charger with three CCS2 nozzles.
