Meantime, relative newcomer VinFast pushed into the top 15 brands for the second-straight month. The Vietnam-based upstart had 164 rebate filings in February, its highest tally since it began selling eligible vehicles last year. The Volkswagen ID4, which sat in the pole position in January, posted another strong month. Its 921 new rebate requests put it in second place in February, adding to the 711 it booked to start 2024.
Federal incentive claims rose to 13,543 in February, up about 30 per cent from 10,278 a month earlier.
