In a continuous effort to enhance service reliability and support the growing demand within its franchise area, Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) is ramping up the provision of cutting-edge solutions and robust support for private infrastructure and government development projects.

Meralco’s strategic capital expenditure initiatives including the energization of new substations and reliability improvements, underscore Meralco's dedication to enhancing service reliability and meeting the evolving needs of its stakeholders.

On the other hand, the Php 414-million FBGC-2 GIS substation caters to Bonifacio Global City and nearby areas, while the Php 440-million McKinley Hill GIS substation serves McKinley Hill and its surrounding communities.

In addition to its efforts within Metro Manila, Meralco recently inaugurated the Balagtas Substation along McArthur Highway in Bulacan, marking a significant enhancement to the local distribution system and power quality. Collaborating closely with the Department of Transportation , Meralco navigates the complex process of securing permits, rights-of-way, and clearances to swiftly relocate utility poles. This proactive approach ensures seamless operation of electrical facilities amidst ongoing development projects.

The Metro Manila Subway, already 40% complete as of January, is set to revolutionize urban mobility, accommodating 370,000 passengers daily and significantly reducing travel time. Linking six stations to existing rail networks, including MRT-3, LRT-1, MRT-7, LRT-2, FTI Terminal, and NSCR, it promises seamless connectivity across the metro.
