Upper-level trough hovers over the northeast. Strong energy aloft swings through today and could produce a couple showers in the afternoon. Most of the day is dry with considerable cloudiness during the afternoon. Readings continue to fall short of average and remain in the mid to upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Clouds will still be around Tuesday; however, more sunshine should mix in and out. There is a much lower threat of an isolated shower. Temperatures are milder in the lower 60s.
With a return flow setting up Thursday, we get close to 70 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Clouds are on the increase towards evening ahead of the next storm system. Showers move in for Friday afternoon, and continue overnight, becoming steady rain into early Saturday. Another upper-level trough moves overhead and keeps the shower threat around for the afternoon. Temperatures begin to tumble from around 60 Saturday to the 50s Sunday.
