The ASX 200 ended the day up on Thursday by 0.51 per cent.\n\nSky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood said the market did indeed pick up but “barely made a dent” in recovering the losses of the past three days.\n\n“The index noticed it’s still well below this key 7,000 mark,” he said.\n\n“There was a rebound for property stocks, telecommunications and consumer stables.\n\n“Energy companies and the biggest of the Woodside were hit hard as oil prices fell more than five per cent overnight.”
