Backed by an ambitious roadmap, following a relaunch in 2017 and a reorganization in 2021, the company has outlined its strategy for the coming decade, which largely includes achieving global growth. Primed by the launch of new all-electric models starting in 2024, and the projection of breaking-even by 2026, the company says its global expansion phase is slated to begin in 2027 with one of the markets being the U.S.
“Our goal is to expand from a niche segment brand to a fully-fledged global brand. By combining a larger range with international expansion, we target an operating margin over 10% by 2030, and thereby put our business model on a permanent footing,” explains Alpine’s CEO, Laurent Rossi.The company also plans to collaborate with key partners, including Renault Group to co-invent the sports cars of the future.
The sports car manufacturer is not losing sight of its racing pedigree either. Alpine plans to increase its exposure to motorsports, planning to participate in the 2024 World Endurance Championship with its own Hypercar, as well as boost its presence in Formula 1. To bolster this transformation, Alpine is also welcoming new investors, including Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, and others.
