This September’s average temperature in Calgary reached 15.1 C, versus the average of 11 C. In the past several days, some temperature records were broken in other areas of the province, though not in Calgary, Hasell said.Article content The current weather conditions are creating the perfect environment for fall wildfires, said Colby Lachance, information officer with Alberta Wildfire. There are 57 active wildfires, 27 of which are being held and 30 are under control.
