Swiss People's Party Demands Withdrawal from Council of Europe over Climate Change RulingSwitzerland's biggest political party, the Swiss People's Party (SVP), has demanded a withdrawal from the Council of Europe following a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights that the country is not doing enough to tackle climate change. The SVP criticized the court's decision as 'scandalous' and argued that it was interfering in Swiss politics. The ruling has sparked controversy in Switzerland, with the SVP stating that it is unacceptable for a sovereign country to face such interference.
