As climate change causes more frequent and severe weather events, a unique conservation centre will give endangered turtles a fighting chance when they wash up on Western Cape beaches.

The multimillion-rand Turtle Conservation Centre is being planned by the Two Oceans Aquarium and V&A Waterfront, which will increase the capacity of the aquarium's turtle rehabilitation facility. The announcement comes on the back of an unprecedented influx of turtle hatchlings.
