From the opening notes of"Cumin' Atcha Live,” steamrolling into “Modern Day Cowboy,” the band electrified the atmosphere and set the pace the for a monumental evening. This band doesn’t play for the audience, they become one with it.
After the first two barn burners, they performed a brand new song so new they haven’t even recorded it yet, a catchy pop-rock tune called “It’s All About Love.” The memorable hook and strength of this song proves they are not just resting on their past laurels, they still writing great new material. The opener, Cincinnati’s Kurt Deimer, has already etched out a storied biography, spearheading the Hellbilly movie franchise and working with artists like Green Day, James Brown, and the Rolling Stones. Deimer dedicated his set to Jake Nees, a 27-year-old MGM and Blossom Music Center employee who was tragically killed while riding his motorcycle home from Tesla’s last show at MGM back in August of 2023.
