My husband, who loves an electric anything, has tried to help. He’s made a spreadsheet. On that spreadsheet, there is one car that comes with a spare tyre. That has one of the longest charge times of any of the options, which are limited by the size of our family, or more accurately, of our dogs.

It feels like yet another chunk of emotional labour, to be honest. Like I’m being required to come to the mountain, instead of the mountain coming to me.
