A former paramedic has warned parents to never risk their lives to try to save their children from an electric shock. Nikki Jurcutz, who was a paramedic for eight years with Ambulance Victoria, said you should never touch an injured kid in an electric shock situation because the current could pass from their body to yours.

Ex-paramedic’s warning about electric shocks. “I know as parents our natural instinct when we see our child hurt, is to run up to our child... grab and hold them. But sometimes, this can cause more harm than help,” the mum said in an Instagram video. “If you become harmed, your child won’t have anyone to help them. “If you become harmed, when help arrives, they now have two patients to help, instead of just focusing on helping your child.
