This was the headline in the Feb. 8th edition of The Guardian newspaper. It has resulted in a sobering rethinking of massive wind energy projects as presently structured and managed.

It’s not just Orsted feeling the pain. Siemens Energy, a subsidiary of the Siemens industrial conglomerate, is facing worse problems. Orders for wind turbines are lower than forecast. Newer turbines have been plagued by an array of technical faults. Problems are so severe that the company was forced to apply for a bailout of $15 billion Euros from the German government.

This should be a cautionary tale for World Energy GH2 as well as its government enablers…remember Muskrat Falls!
