CPS energy announced they will be shutting down the Braunig natural gas plant. They also recently acquired two other plants in Laredo and Corpus Christi all part of the generation plan for cleaner energy.

With CPS acquiring these new natural gas plants, they continue to move forward with their vision 2027. That plan includes retiring older power plants for newer ones that use a combo of gas, solar wind and energy storage. And that means good news for your bill--
